The Michael Palin Centre is a specialist assessment, therapy and training organisation based in London that provides individualised support to children, young people and adults who stammer across the UK both through the NHS and private practice. They also offer development opportunities and training courses for Speech and Language Therapists.
As a UK registered charity, they aim for a society where children and young people who stammer have the same opportunities and quality of life as their peers. Their goal is to ensure that every child and young person across the UK who stammers has access to effective services and support to help them meet the challenges they face.
The ‘Talking Out’ residential is a specialist intervention for teenagers who stammer.
The course is fully funded by the charity Action for Stammering Children (ASC).
The 5 day course combines speech and language therapy, outdoor activities and a residential experience. Talking Out Ltd is based in Yorkshire but accept referrals from across in the UK.
